Racist AfD Takes CHP as Example
By Ahmet Özay
A major provocation occurred ahead of the upcoming German federal elections on February 23, 2025. The Alternative for Germany (AfD), expected to make a big surge in polls, threatened foreigners, especially Muslims, with deportation by dropping cards in the form of plane tickets into their mailboxes.
Nazi Propaganda
The so-called tickets, which drew great reactions from all parts of society, started serious discussions in the country because they were inspired by propaganda tickets from the Hitler dictatorship. Those who argue that the AfD 'continues the Nazi tradition' brought up Nazi propaganda posters from that era calling for the deportation of Jews to Palestine.
Off to Jerusalem
These propaganda posters from the 1940s said 'Free Ticket to Jerusalem – Valid from all German train stations for a one-way trip. Fourth Class'.
CHP Will Also Send by Bus
CHP members had also offered Syrians 'one-way' tickets after Assad fled. One of them, Torbalı Mayor Övünç Demir, told Syrians: 'We want to give you a New Year's surprise. Starting tomorrow, you can apply to our public relations department for your one-way bus tickets.'

While Washington is gradually reducing its military presence in Europe, it aims to establish a new, Northern Hemisphere–centered security architecture focused on the Venezuela–Cuba–Greenland axis. In other words, instead of building a new “Berlin Wall,” the United States is moving toward constructing an “Atlantic Wall” designed to protect itself.
