Is Germany Having Israel Do Its Dirty Work Again?
By Ahmet Özay
While Israel's genocide continues in Gaza, Germany's capital Berlin hosted a Kurdish-Jewish Congress. The event organized by 'German-Jewish Values Initiative' and 'Kurdish Community Germany' associations took place under the patronage of German and Israeli authorities.
Kurds Showed No Interest
Although the event was held under the 'Kurdish' title, the number of participating Kurds was very limited. The criticism 'They don't represent us' prevailed in Kurdish circles in Germany.
Congress Photo Was AI-Generated
The distribution of an AI-generated image as the opening photo of the so-called congress became a subject of mockery.
The most notable participant was Interior Ministry Undersecretary Christoph de Vries. He expressed his pleasure that 'Jews and Kurds are side by side'.
What remained from the so-called congress was Chancellor Friedrich Merz's historic statement from June 17, 2025: 'Israel does the dirty work for us.'

In other words, instead of building a new “Berlin Wall,” the United States is moving toward constructing an “Atlantic Wall” designed to protect itself.
